Application and admission

The Doing Business in China (DBIC) program is open both to students nominated by our partner schools and to individual applicants. A summary of our two standardized Open Programs is provided in the next section. In addition to our Open Programs, Guanghua also delivers customized programs for partner institutions around the world.

As a result of COVID-19, arrangements for 2021 programs are as follows:

DBIC Open Program I will run as planned, and students should apply before the deadline. DBIC Open Program II, typically offered in the summer, has been cancelled for 2021. Students are welcome to apply for the Open Program II to be held in 2022. The application portal for the 2022 program will open in October 2021.

Tuition & Fees

DBIC Open Program I (2021)

Tuition and Fees: CNY42,000 (includes an application fee, tuition, case fees, and all other learning materials).

Students will be required to arrange their own living accomodations.


DBIC Open Program II (suspended for 2021)

Tuition: CNY 26,000*

Other Fees: CNY 18,000 (covers local and inter-city transportation, company visits, living accommodations, cultural events, and most meals).


*Apply before Feb. 1, 2021 to enjoy a 35% early bird discount on tuition for Open Program II. Tuition will be partially waived for participants from partner schools.


Application Requirements

DBIC Open Program I is open to undergraduate students.

Applicants interested in participating in Open Program I should have an excellent command of the Chinese language, both written and spoken. 

 

DBIC Open Program II is typically open to graduate students and recent graduates but has been suspended for 2021. 

Applicants interested in participating in Open Program II should have an excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. Chinese is not a prerequisite for this program.


Application Process

PKU Guanghua's partner universities must nominate students to DBIC by March 15, 2021. Nomination decisions are made by each PKU Guanghua partner university according to their own admissions process and criteria. Please contact your university's program coordinator for details.


Students who would like to apply directly to DBIC can skip the nomination process and apply as an individual applicant by following the process below:
